Custom buttons in empty dash spots

The factory seems to have provided some empty spots in the dash for buttons etc.

I was curious if any aftermarket companies came up with buttons for those spots?

I'd like to repurpose the onstar to control blutooth module...

Then a switch for lightbar,

and if possible a guage for transtemp, preferably expandable to other items. like the banks idash guages

Nothing that I’ve seen that just snaps into those locations if that’s what you mean. There are OEM blanks for them, like the onstar one. Most people just add switches or whatever into the blanks. Kind of make your own.

Yeah I had figured that might be the case. Any idea of which switches look coolest?

Hoping to find inspiration for myproject. Tahoes esp 2nd gen ones seem to be the least modified for some reason. In my opinion they are best built of all.

What type of switch do you want?Rocker, Toggles, Push or Rotary?

Got Bored.

With the help of a friend, we researched every possible dash mounted switch GM offered in the GMT800 series trucks/suvs. Note there is a break between 99-02 and 03-07c. The 99-02 switches are grey and typically have lettering assosicated with them, while 03-07c are black and use symbols instead of lettering. I have seen most of these switches in some form, and have pictures of most if anyone is interested.

How bout a passenger ejection seat switch? lol

It's like a match made in heaven lol The cab over light switch is perfect! I just ordered one I think there's a back light on it. I'll have to figure out how to wire that into the dash illumination wires.

Then I'm curious, is there an aftermarket relay / fuse box? Something to add some expansion to the electrical system under the hood. I have plans to do overhead light bar, build in air compressor, and inverter.
