Ive done a million of these, its not bad. Just takes some time and patience. Dealer pays I think 7.5 hours repair time on them, Ive gotten it down to about 40 minutes start - finish, but I used to do them damn near weekly.

Do you know what that tool he was using is called? That heated those pieces.
I noticed. He also knicked the trim piece under the windshield as he pried it up. Is that tool expensive?My Tahoe has like 120k miles on it and no sign of cracking? Is it inevitable or hit and miss?

I'd think it would look the same once repaired. Probably would look just like a scratch.very interesting. Great tutorial on removing dash. I wish I seen him repair bigger crack under odometer.
