Console Peeling

I have the typical peeling of the paint on my console. What is the best method to remove it other than sanding? I am most likely going to just leave it black

Too much trouble to wrap. I'd rather just strip off the crappy coating and just leave it black

How about plastidipping it? Stuff is pretty durable until you Peel it off.

I've done some wheels in the past with it and do agree it's some good stuff, but for now I'm just trying to find a product that will help strip it off. I may just have to test a few different products and see what works.

Soak in hot soapy water and start scrubbing..... i think chemicals would mess up the plastic. Just an idea

Take it to the car wash and use there pressure washer and spary it the paint will come off in sheets. Plus no mess at home to clean up afterwards. It will be soild black when done.

I unfortunately don't have one of types of car washes near me. I think I'm just going to experiment on a few spots starting with the least invasive as possible and work my way up. I appreciate all the advice and am sure I'll find something that will work. Some of the areas are a little gummy and those peel right up. I may even try a little Coke ( soda )

If coke (soda....lol) can free up seized motors, i think it'll do work on that....soak it for bit.

They just seized 16 tons of ahem... Coke, not soda pop. Just sayin.... Lol

I used denatured alcohol and Scotch Brite. Came right off. Do NOT use lacquer thinner it will damage plastic. The denatured dissolves the crappy paint GM used on it without damaging the plastic.
