I bought my truck 2 weeks ago. I love this motor but every video I see on YouTube is now thrust bearing grenading. Where do I look on my truck for the build date. I bought the extra insurance but still.
It’s all the “influencers” making their click bait videos to get views. It’s the unfortunate side of YouTube.I bought my truck 2 weeks ago. Yep, same here after talking to my service writer friend he said not to worry about it as there is such a small percentage of failures and he did say no where even close to the 6.2 failures! My LZ0 only has 4,000 miles on it and running like a Swiss watch!Highest LZ0 thrust bearing failure percentage I have seen on the interwebs is about 2.5%. Seems to be a bit of an over reaction to me.
I'll take my chances, given I have a power train warranty.
Wasn’t the failure rate on the recalled 6.2’s estimated to be around 3%. I know gremlins still in the 2025’s and maybe some of the early 2026’s…. But I feel like it’s slowing down the farther you get from the July 2024 recall window.Highest LZ0 thrust bearing failure percentage I have seen on the interwebs is about 2.5%. Seems to be a bit of an over reaction to me.
