did you try doing what the guy said he did in the video? he pushed it up part way then grabbed it with needle nose pliers and twisted it into place.

Sure did :/ the plyers did nothing... only pulled it through the hole. I almost need to see a picture od one installed.

Looking at the only picture you provided, your dash looks fine. I would conclude the sensor is the problem. Try a brand new one that is the right part for your truck. They’re not expensive.

Does your fash have two sensors, or one. They may be different part #'s, so also maybe different sizes.

Thanks i may have to order a new sensor. That is the sensor and dash from another year truck. It came out fine but i have no idea how to get it back in
