i would like to see dyno proof of those gains, and even with the water drainage system I would be way to afraid of it ingesting water.

Plus ram air is key, to get any power increase you gotta be moving at atleast highway speeds to see any real gain.

it is a neat system I will give them that. I like the space it frees up under the hood too. If I get a 6.0 truck in the future I will order one. IM happy with my gm preformance intake on my 5.3 yukon. To bad it dont work on the 6.2 liter.

Im skeptical that it will give you upto 50+ HP. if it did, every one will jump on this and it will be better known than K&N, Airraid, Volant.

IMHO it kinda looks like a POS. Although its under the hood, i would like to have something more pleasing to the eye.

Highway speeds? It's slightly higher than highway speeds - you would have to be approaching Mach I in order to have any true ramming effect.

It might be less restrictive, but thats about it. Definitely not gonna pick up 50 hp from that.

Ram Air is a marketing gimmick.

I trust their products and their numbers.

I have one on my G8 GT, and there is no better way to go.

I am just waiting for them to make this one work for the 09+ Tahoes (they have a screw in MAF, not a separate unit) and I'll jump on it.

hell, I just cut off the resonators on my stock tube, and covered the holes and plastic welded them. I noticed a quicker response difference just doing that, I think that's a big factor that plays into all the ram air intakes, cutting the resonators out that are probably catching air or making it drag at the least and having a straight tube. you also get that deeper sound too like with a ram air, by cutting off the resonators.

what im saying is, you cant compare the performance gains from a 6.0 g8 to a 5.3 tahoe. Its apples to oranges.

And, again, I wasn't comparing gains. Nowhere did I mention that.

I'm saying their claims were true for that application.

This is called "precedence" and (with rational people) this lends itself toward secondary, unrelated claims to perhaps be more believable (unless wholly proven otherwise).

So do you like the kit? Any numbers or updates?

I love the kit. It may look cheap but it is actually made of solid quality material. I am getting a little bit better MPG (same in town, .5-1 mpg on highway) and passing is a ton better. I would say that all intake kits will give you about the same.

I like this one because it sounds awesome when you get on it but you dont even know its there when you are cruising.

I also like the way it looks in the engine bay.
