"Check Engine" symbol is illuminated and no Bluetooth

I noticed that my "Check Engine" symbol is illuminated. At the same time it seems the Bluetooth stopped working on the system. I cannot pair either mine or my wife's phone. Both had worked before.
I am going to connect my scanner tonight to try to pull a code. Find it odd that the 2 would be connected?
