Hello, on my 2001 Tahoe, I have the central box model of the first picture. I find the following generations more ergonomic.

Has anyone ever changed the lid? There are changes to make?

Not sure that lid will fit on yours you may have to swap entire console and iirc the front where it meets the dash board if different.

I don't think the lids will interchange on the older base and flow well. The mounting points look different on the lower dash for the different consoles. You'd need to swap lower dash portions to make the 03-06 console fit and look good.

I managed to find some parts to modernize a little mine, but it is not obvious at home or so very expensive

we get to have parts by Rockauto. But some shipping costs are too high. Most of the time we manage to evade customs fees but when they fall on us, it hurts the wallet

For now I bought fog lights and more modern flashers. Anyway, my old turn signals took water

I wanted to change the taillights to put LEDs but the cost of shipping is higher than the price of the lights. So I smoked my original stop lights.

Otherwise, all I have to do is live in the USA
