A few shops in the area want like $2700 for a reman unit or $1k for a jy. Found a shop that will install one if I buy it. Any websites you can recommend I can get one. I keep having thatgearshop1945 pop up when I'm looking for one with the pump rub case upgrade. They want like $800 for one. It's for a 05 burb 5.3 4l60e with rpo code np8 so the 246 gm 27 spline. Thanks for your time

Not exactly apples to apples, but back in 2014, I installed a GM reman transfer case in my 2007 AWD Denali. It came with a 100K warranty and cost me $1800 for the unit and I installed in my garage. Granted it was and AWD case. 9 years later, I don’t see the $2700 for a reman as being too bad of a price if that includes installation.

I live in a apartment complex. Sadly that was the price before installation for just the parts. They wanted $1800 for the jy install and $3700 for the reman install. The shop that will install the parts, they rebuilt the transmission in my wife's Yukon XL. The other shop I used, the owner died and no one liked his wife, so they quit and she closed the shop down. Just getting harder and harder to find decent places these days.

I gave them a call and they only sell it authorized shops whatever that means. Wouldn't give me a price either. So I think the shops set the price at this point.
