Broken wire

2003 Yukon xl Denali awd 6.0 found a broken wire and can’t find where it goes it runs in same harness that goes down front of engine that the temperature sensor plug comes out of but lil further down it’s broken it looks like it runs off by itself to something but not sure where and with ignition on the wire is hot but while was looking for short I guess it broke off completely black wire and as of right now my wife is walking to work

It’s in this harness and when get home I’ll take another and since then now will not run

not that can fidn and hasn’t ran since was checking that harness for a short if that loom of wires moved it died and must have finished off the break searching but can not find where goes now won’t start at all when I found it the wite was laying by front axel coming out in a loom by itself at bottom

well with ignition on wire is hot but if ground it out it starts and runs

Sometimes a ground wire will show positive voltage if it’s removed from its grounding point. But it’s not any amount of current. Then when you ground it that turns to negative. If the wire doesn’t get hot to the touch when you hook it to a ground point and it runs then you might have this figured out.
