Are the AWD mounts different than the RWD mounts? I'm looking to replace the driver side mount in my RWD Denali today, but the part store only has AWD in stock!
Hi Kristen A, Assistant to Jennifer T. We have the same issue here. Broken motor mounts in a 2007 Yukon Denali that has never even seen gravel. Same story as I am reading here. She has only driven a few miles each day to and from the school and the grocery store. Now we are faced with a $900 repair bill.
Please tel me there is something that can be done to assist us here GM!!

I'm also in the exact same boat. If y'all get a reply of anything GM can help with please let me know. The cost is crazy to get a repair.

I just received my motor mount news......
2011 GMC Yukon XL, 127K, broken left side motor mount $430 to fix.
All in all 8 years of serviceable life seems pretty good however my my Ford Expedition motor mounts lasted over 200k.

Don't hold your breath for a response from GM. Haven't seen them active on this site for quite sometime now. Hope they get back to chiming in on these issues. Good luck.
This is our 3rd Tahoe and likely our last. Our dash cracked on this car, the buttons are rubbing off all the radio buttons, and just learned the engine mount is crack on a 2011 car that my wife only drives around town? Any luck getting help with these items??? They are not built as well as the previous models.

Ok can that mount work with AWD vehicles? I'm pulling up
15854939 on gmparts website. I don't want to put it on then have to do the job again because I cover about 20k a year going from Louisiana to Texas

Doesn't anyone make an aftermarket part that doesn't break every 80k miles. Sorry GM. No reason to pay a small fortune every 80k miles because you under-engineered the part. Those of us with hybrids they want more than $1200 to replace the motor mounts. There has to be a 4wd customization place with ruggidized mounts.

Are they just rubber and steel? Or is there anything else? I got an unexplainable rusty orange stain on my oil pan that looks like it drained from somewhere around the motor mount. It doesn't rub off of the aluminum like a rusty water stain and I am just curious if there is some kind of dampening fluid in the mounts that could have leaked? I haven't did the "test" to see if mine are gone.

They are hydraulic mounts, so they're fluid-filled. I have the same rusty water-colored stains.

I bought my Tahoe used in Feb., I am unsure if it had already been replaced. When I get a chance I will have a co-worker help me check for engine movement. I just noticed the stain while doing an oil change and originally thought about a leaky freeze plug until I couldn't remove the stain.

There are reports of them breaking again within 20K miles after replacing them, so who knows?! You really don't need any help to check. Just hold the brake firmly with it in "D" and hit the throttle. You don't have to floor it, but you wanna sharply push it 1/3-1/2 way. If you feel a hard bump, then the driver's side mount is busted. I was wondering if that stain could be easily cleaned off. I guess I have my answer.
