The AutoCal shows the same data that Justin sees at inperson meets. He does have some room for tune updates, you need to email him at [email protected] to see what times he has available.

Hey guys. i come here often when im having an issue with my truck but i actually just registered and this is my first msg. So what are the benefits of the black bear tune over buying a tuner? I can get a bullydog gt for 325 and its a monitor that mounts to the dash. I like that and the fact that i can change tunes for towing or performance whenever. Does the black bear add more ponies or something to make it more popular as ive seen it all over this site.:happy107:

One of the big things we have over the any other handheld, is experience. While each of those manufacturers will create a product that is based on 1 or 2 test trucks, the tunes that we provide are the culmination of thousands of similar vehicles (over 4500 custom tunes for 1998-2011 trucks provided). Who is to say that those test vehicles were running properly in the first place? At least 35% of vehicles we tune end up needing significant correction just to bring things in line.

Additionally, where the average handheld tuner alters 5-10 tables/parameters in the computer, our full tune will touch on at least 50, often much more, to achieve the complete tune benefit.
