Am i correct in thinking that when i apply 12 volts to the plug on the evap vent valve solenoid (by the canister) i shouldn't be able to blow through it? I can't tell any difference when powered or not, can blow through it either way. It does click when power is applied. But it also rattles if i turn it upside down. It is only like 6 months old, can't remember, but i think i tested it before i installed it and i couldn't blow through it when power is applied. Thanks again, this small leak is really testing me.

It probably only requires 5 volts. Is it AC Delco or some parts store brand?

Well after another new ac delco part arrived, I tested it too. Cannot blow through it with power applied. Other will be getting refunded from amazon by way of ac delco a 2 year warranty.
