I am considering a new GPS. It has the option for a back up camera. The most common location suggested is a license frame mount. ..Uh, sorry,.. the camera will get destroyed there. The only location I imagine, that could be a place where the camera is protected is using the wiper 'catch'. Mount to the underside of the plastic 'catch' ? The camera would be sort of protected there.
Any ideas?

I never had an issue on license plate. Had mine there for years.

Otherwise I would delete the rear window snipers and put on hole from it.

Ton or work though as you would have to remove headliner to get video feed and reverse signal to the camera.

I simply ran mine down cable run at door trim on passenger side. Was a cinch. Then out a whole under catch trim.

Thanks for the suggestion....... The camera is wireless. On-off power from reverse lamp wire.
I also thought...... A hidden hole for power through the wiper catch.

Also.... here's a thought..... I don't care if it's a bit low..... Inside trailer mount... Could be a perfect spot?

Send it to me in a PM as PNG or JPG, or resize using Paint in Windoze.

That's where I mounted mine. Well protected and I can see fine with it there.

usually, my phone takes a pic at 2.6 MB. yesterday the photo of the rear of the truck is 8.4 MB.
My phone 'updated'...... Maybe it changed the settings.... I wish these 'smart phones' just stayed more simple.
( Up date ).... For some reason the camera settings changed.... I re set it......
