Anyone used UPF63R on 5.3L?

Looks like the same filter as the PF63 but with higher filter efficiency. Dealership said, not designed for the 5.3 and hence should not be used when I tried to buy one.

Dealer doesn't know what they are talking about. They are interchangeable. I have read on Bob is the oil guy that the UPF version is in fact a relabeled mobil one filter. If the dealer telling you not to use it and this is where you would have warranty work done I would stick with the PF63 just to avoid any hassle.

I was looking for a bit more capacity, so I switched to the PPE filter. Used it on last several oil changes. Seems to do a good job and is purported to have better filtration.

Pf46E is the shorter one and that one is the tall one. Just holds more volume. In my eyes.
