Anyone running this Brake Kit? 2003 Tahoe

I found the kit below at summit... It reuses the factory calipers but comes with new caliper brackets and 14" rotors for the front and rear!

It seems as if it would fit but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this specific kit!

If the caliber isn't bigger then why would it matter if the rotor is bigger? You won't be grabbing for surface area.

Because the pads and rotor would be bigger. There's your larger surface area. I haven't heard that the calipers were lacking, just that they wouldn't fit when switching to larger rotors and pads. When you typed " caliber" that WAS a typo correct? I assume you don't mean caliber as in size like with guns?

True, the caliper and pad isn't any larger. But since the rotor is larger diameter, and the caliper is moved out, there are some gains due to the increased leverage. Kind of like using a cheater pipe on a ratchet.

Oh yeah, wasn't thinking right when I said the pads would be bigger. There would'nt be as much gain as what I was thinking but there would still be some, like Aaron said. Larger rotors would dissipate heat better as well.

i just did the stop-tech kit for the 2007+ yukons which is a bigger rotor and it made a big difference.
