I wanted to know what year Silverado’s in Tahoe’s fit our 2012 Tahoe?
Does it matter 1500,2500,3500 or trailboss will they all fit?
Also what exact parts are needed?
Do we need to shave anything and do we just need to add washers?
Please help I’m trying to piece together my brake setup…
Thanks in advance….

Will these calipers fit?

Will these rotors and pads work?

If you've 18" wheels, your GMT921 (Tahoe) wants 4-piston front brake calipers rotors AND pads from a 2015-2020 GMTK2UC-PPV.
(If you've 20" wheels, your GMT921 wants wants 6-piston front brake calipers rotors AND pads from a 2020-2026 GMT1UC-PPV.)
Stick to 1500 stuff (unless you live close enough to Mexico to know extremely resourceful suspension mechanics.)

Yes you'll need to shave the calipers of some excess material, AND yes you'll ALSO need washers.
More to come. I'm shopping for GMTK2UC-PPV front brake stuff myself ...

Best info I've found so far says you needs four 'M14' washers to make this work with a GMT900 brake caliper bracket.

Do ANY 17" wheel(s) work with the 4-piston front brake calipers rotors AND pads from a 2015-2020 GMTK2xx?
'cause I'm thinking of going from 18" wheels to 17" wheels for cheaper tires ...

Meant the 4piston 13.5" rotor GMTK2xx brakes, but I typically aim for PPV version because of the higher-temp seals and superior pad compounds.
(Note that the GMT1UC-PPV brakes are 6piston with a rotor large enough to require a 20" wheel.)

Yes, my hope was that grinding down the GMTK2xx caliper housing strategically would make at least one kind of 17" wheels usable,
even if it turns out that the only usable 17" wheel is GM's 17" steel spare.
Why some people say it’s just drop-in?
Because it's incredibly close to drop-in, if you already have 18" wheels (the kind of people who do this kind of thing tend to already have 18" or larger wheels).
Yes, you DO need 4 M14 washers between the caliper bracket and the caliper, and you may need wheel spacers if you don't have the correct 18" wheels -
you may not need wheel spacers if you have the correct 18" wheels, or if you grind the caliper some -
but still, the fact that it bolts up and can be made to work with relatively minor adjustments is pretty impressive for a GM OE solution that any idiot can afford.

If it's not drop-in enough for you yet (17" or 18" wheels?), get the Tahoe-PPV version of the calipers rotors and pads you already have now
(it's what I'm using now, and I'll NEVER go back to the '02 brakes it came with)
and do a little homework to prepare yourself - you will need 4 M14 washers. Do YOUR wheels need spacers? We can't answer that for you, sowry.

So if I currently have 26 inch rims will these drop in no shaving of the calipers?….

Can someone help post up links of what exact parts I need for the 16 inch rotors and calipers for my 2012 Tahoe please?

The 4 pots I could find all look the same as the current silverado brakes, which can come with 17" wheels.

Not sure just want something better since I upgraded to 26 inch rims…..
I was going for powerstop z36 but for a few hundred more I could do Bbk with 6 pistons….
I don’t haul or tow just daily drive

Many men start feeling this need long after they've replaced the OE brakes with aftermarket pads and rotors. Powerstop is a great value but not in the same league as the original Original Equipment brakes. ACDelco also offers a set with calipers intended for towing. We put them on our lifted Sierra and there is an improvement, marginal over the OE but better nonetheless.

Of course, with 26" wheels the stock brakes look wimpy now!

Anyhow, these are my notes on the subject from several years ago:

I cant find those larger PPV rotors or calipers anywhere for sale
