Got a 15" flip down and right where i want to put it theres nothing above the headliner except for the roof, no bracing or anything, i was thinking just putting a piece of wood above the headliner and sinking 6 screws in the mounting holes for the tv straight through to the wood so that it will hold it up tight to the headliner, but will this make my headliner sag????

Im thinking it should be ok, anyone with one please give me pointers im trying to get everything done on my baby :)

If you put a piece of woof up there, get a tube of Liquid nails from Home Depot or Lowes and glue the wood to your metal roof. You'll need to cut a 2x4 the leght of the floor to the roof and wedge the plywood up against the roof until the glue dries.

i do check it out:
http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12396

and behind the headliner i put 2 pieces of metal for support one for the bracket and the other for the lock that hold the tv up.

metal is a lot stronger and thiner so it wont bulk up up there. thats what i did and works great.

I pulled down the dome light and used the metal bracing on the roof. I didn't like the way the rear a/c switches were covered up. I used self tapping screws and the power that was already there for the map lights. Mine covered the hole perfect but a 15" may be to big go in that spot cause the hump in the roof.

sorry guys thought i had a thread with pics

here ya go

ya the 15" was wayyyyyy to big to go over there i had to do it in front of the ac controls, its kinda pushed back but its only for show anyway i dont put people in my back seat lol

i ran the power wires up to my radio so it turns on when the radio turns on unless i turn the power off on the flipdown
