I finally got me a set of the arh for my 2015 tahoe what's everyone's opinion on getting them ceramic coated (jet hot)? What's everyone else doing running them as is from arh or getting them coated?

When I was researching header coatings, it seemed the most favored was Swaintech. Another company, finishlinecoatings, seems to have a good product and their claim to fame was that they coat the inside as well, at least as far as their equipment will reach. Through my correspondence with them, I was told they coat the outside twice and the inside once. All of their coating colors are what they call a "50%" (insulates 50% of heat from radiating out of the pipe) but their Satin Black is about 10% more effective.

I don't have any of the hard details on Swaintech and I don't know if Jet Hot has improved their formula or methods to be on par with the other offerings now available.

A little late to the discussion but I ceramic coated the AR headers that I picked up less than 2 months ago. They came our great and run a bit cooler just like the headers on the rest of my rides.

I had mine coated by Excel Coatings in Port Canaveral Florida. Actually this is the 3rd set of headers that I've had them do for me. They do great work. Took them about 2 weeks which was fine for me. I dropped them off before I returned to my travel assignment then picked them up about a month later when I came back on one of my return trips.

I had another 3 sets of headers (2 mine and 1 for a friend) done in Wa state when I was living there. They all look fine and are functioning well / as expected. Maybe you can find someone local to you that does ceramic coating.

Any cons to installing headers on these trucks?

Cons? Absolutely not. The 6.2 is a whole different animal. Catback exhaust is a plus. Do that plus headers and if your in a "friendly" state. Not cats. It's loads of fun. I am very happy and impressed with what the Escalade does post exhaust mods.

My 02 is supercharged which is lots of fun as well but that 6.2. Very nice.

Totally recommend it.
