I had the first 8 speed Grand Cherokee in the country back in February of 2013 then needed something bigger and bought a 2014 Durango RT. It bored me to death so I bought a 2014 SRT Jeep. It's a badass truck but doesn't fill my needs now since my kids are getting bigger. I decided on a 2015 Denali XL once I learned it was getting an 8 speed as well. My former GM vehicles were a 2001 Denali XL and a 2007 Escalade EXT. They've done a great job with the new design. It's bold and makes a statement without being flashy. From what I have gathered there hasn't even been a price increase yet which is great news as I want to order one soon. The option group that is available seems to good to be true. 22" wheels, adaptive cruise, power running boards, sunroof, and rear blu ray monitors for around $4,500. Anyways, glad I found your forum!

Thanks. I got a good laugh from the elite comments I have been reading. I'm not knocking the 6 speed but I prefer the overall driving experience of an 8 speed. It generally keeps the rpms in the powerband and does jump around searching for the right gear. That's the primary reason I prefer it over a 6 speed. Some guys prefer a C6 over the C7 as well.

LMAO! My yard suffered this year after working on a composite deck for the last 3 months. Never again! Edging is what gets you noticed in my neighborhood..
