Recently upgraded brakes on my 2022 Suburban LTZ to Brembo and I’m interested in selling the take-offs (ideally locally) which include the stock OEM front rotors, calipers and pads. Rears were also replaced with the Brembo red kit. This work was done with less than 5K miles (I believe it was right around 4K miles), so everything is fairly close to new.

Seems like someone would be interested in these. How much should I be asking? Not looking to get rich here, just want to get rid of them, make a few bucks, maybe help someone out and get them out of the garage. What platform should I be looking at to unload them?

Also, FWIW, I don’t have privileges yet to post in classifieds, so couldn’t post there.

Appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

I don't know how much they are worth but you could try to sell them on FB marketplace. I have had good luck selling and buying on there.

It might help for a mod to move to the correct 2022 section, General Discussion instead of the 1991 to 1999 section.

IMO, I would never buy used brake parts. I still believe that brakes are the most important system on a vehicle. I take no chances. No reflection on these parts, just MO.

How are you liking the upgrade? I did the same! I feel much more confidence with immediate braking situations which rarely happens. I also seem to feel the additional weight of these things on my steering and handling (slightly). I had issues with brakes dragging. I think my dealer had a newbie install them. Smh. Had to go back andnforth with dealer to get matter resolved.

I'm really sorry about that. I thought I was in the right sub-forum. Still getting familiar with this forum. No disrespect to prior year owners.

I am very happy. No issues, just increased confidence and better pedal feel. We tow a fair bit and while our dual axle trailer has disc brakes, I wanted these for spring/summer road trips.

Apologies for the delayed response. Been extremely busy. I replied to your PM. I have the stock OEM rears as well. As previously mentioned, I was right around or just under 5K miles when they were replaced. I did have another member interested, but it appears he is in or near Louisiana, so my guess is that shipping charges would be cost prohibitive. I'm about 30 minutes east of Seattle, WA. With the front rotors I'm guessing the overall weight is easily 100lbs. The parts include front and rear calipers with pads, front rotors and the front "dust shields." Let me know if your geo proximity makes this something you still want to pursue. I'll give a few days before I look to try and unload locally with something like Offer Up or FB marketplace.

I also upgraded to the GM performance brakes. Contemplating on selling my oem rotors, brakes pads, etc but a piece of me wants to hang on to them. I had so much issues with dealership installing these things from dragging brakes, to a much heavier feeling ride quality, much lower mpg and even much firmer steering. I figured if I have anymore issues with these gm brembos I'll just return back to stock. Have you noticed any change in ride quality at all?

Larger rotors, calipers, pads etc add significant unsprung weight which affects ride and handling. I’m not sure any real “performance” is added?

I can assure you that braking performance is improved. Performance related to ride and handling? I have no data to support my next statement, but I have not witnessed any negatives or downside.

Seen someone in my area selling their oem brake, caliper, dust shields, etc.etc. for $500 on FB Marketplace. I think they stated it only had about 1000 miles before upgrading to the Brembo kit.
