Adhesive for vinyl seat repair?

Need advice for a good glue to fix a tear on my vinyl seat. Put a center console/jumpseat in and snagged the front edge of the PPV vinyl back seat with one of the brackets, now it has a tear with somewhat of a little flap hanging. Thought about putting a piece of black gorilla tape over it but dont know how that would hold up, so looking for something to glue it back down. thanks

J-B Weld leather repair is pretty good stuff depending on the problem.

Ugh, don't do that, it hardens. What does the tear look like? Pics.

Do you know how to stitch?

Called a baseball stitch. That's how I'd fix it.

Well I could try that but just wondering how it would hold. Maybe glue it down too? Im willing to try something before I replace the seat

Stitching would hold fine. You could put the glue down first--guess it can't hurt. Use a glue that's made for fabric, so once it dries it'll stay flexible. To bad you're not in New Jersey I'd stitch it for you.

I have also seen where guys put a "patch" piece of fabric underneath for a surface to glue to and then close it up as neatly as possible.

Well my girl is actually from jersey but dont know if be going there any time soon but thanks. I may try patching under it then trying that stitching. Cant be any worse lol

Ended up using some Shoe Goo glue. Supposed to be flexible for shoes so thought Id try it. Put a fair amount of glue under the tear and then taped it down overnight. Seams didnt come out as perfect as I hoped but its better than it was and seems to be holding
