98 yukon Oil pressure sending unit. Special socket or regular socket?

Hello everyone, I have a previous post about this oil leak I'm trying to find on my 98 Yukon. New lines, pan, filters not leaking, Looks like its dripping from the top of the block, or the rear main seal. A lot of folks on this site have directed me to the oil pressure sending unit, with no sure way that I know of to check the RMS, I figured I should check this. and I just need help with one thing. Some people say to use the special socket, some say use a 1-1/16 regular socket. What's the right answer here? Not wanting to strip something that hard to get to... Thanks!

That's what I used when I changed one for my neighbor's NBS, worked great. Some of the standard sockets are too thick to fit over the sender and can't get between the intake and the sender.

Got ‘em! I used them to re-tap the threads when I snapped off my body mount bolt.
