One thing I noticed when I drove the 6spd Denali was that it lacked the low end torque usually associated with V8s (especially push rod V8s). It didn't have that effortless feel that cars such as the Infiniti QX80, Mercedes GL450 and others exhibit. It had good power once you revved past 3500rpm or so, but below that, seemed like a V6 to be honest. I know the 8spds are not available yet but does anyone know if the new transmissions will address this?
i changed my escalade rear end gears from 3.42 to 3.73. Thing launches out the hole now with 6 speed.
