Yes timing chain. It’s all on the back of the engine. Step one for replacement (or any job that requires its removal) is to remove the engine but many are pulling the cab instead.

I ended up with a 5.3 Tahoe. My third 5.3 counting one other Tahoe and Sierra.. oil burners.. good but the 5.3 is better overall. 5.3 with a ten sp is plenty for me.

Oil Pump Belt, and step one is to drop the transmission.
