6.0 swap

Will a 06 6.0 from a SS Silverado bolt right in on my 05 Tahoe??I can't find what the year cutoff is for swaps. Tia

Yep, both trucks are GMT800s and both engines are Gen III.

Just make sure your Tahoe's motor has the cam sensor on the back of the engine and the knock sensors in the valley cover under the intake. I read something today that said some engines in 2005 were Gen IV but my thinking is that's talking about the L33 which was a hybrid of the two and used in the CC pickups.

Yea mine is the lm7 flex fuel.Ive done alot of V8 swaps in an s10 and this 6.0 swap in to my already ls based truck,has me worried,lol.Been reading alot,should be pretty simple swap..I want the 6.0 for the pulling power,now fuel mileage will probably suck..

I went from a 4.8 to a 6.0 with no issues. Both were non flex motors.
