4l60 rebuild

I got a 04 Yukon 5.3 4l60 with 150,*** miles on it. Recently I've been expereincing funny shifts into third and I talked to a guy I know who had his 3-4 clutch pack go in his 4l60 and apparently this is a common problem for these trannys. should I just go get a good used low mile tranny to put in or spend the money and have 3rd and 4th rebuilt?
Any advice is welcome

Do the 4l80 swap and be done with it
but if you want to keep the 4l60, id recommend a complete rebuild or purchase a used one just to get the truck up and running quickly while rebuilding the old one.

can you drop in the 4l80 without any other modification? need the ecm flashed , etc?

you will need to program the comptuer for the 4l80, 4l80crossmember(or modify yours), and new driveshaft with the correct splines and length

4l80 swap would be nice but I'll probably go with a used trans and get mine rebuild for the sake of my vehicle being my DD. Fuel pump comes first though...
