4 wheel drive engages & gets stuck

i did a little search & didnt see anything on this. for no reason the 4 low will engage & it wont go back into 2 high. i got it unstuck today by rolling down the driveway in neutral. what would cause this?

is it a floor shifter? if it is.....there is plastic over the shift forks, mine came off the forks do to low fluid and breaking apart, could get caught in the teeth or shifting parts. hope it helps.

its a push button 4wd...

To go from 4Lo to 4Hi or 2WD, you need to put your truck in N before pushing the selector.
