How to wire up the 4-HI mod.

Well any more ideas? im lost and have been lol. Tomorrow evening i plan on unplugging the ballasts and plugging in factory bulbs and see if it still does it. Would this method rule out relays or the harnesses?

and with this setup the lights seem to work mostly alternately? not at the same time correct? if that is the case and your grounds are good you either have low voltage issue which each ballast is reacting differently or something is wrong with the ballast. one other thing to try is to switch the ballast side to side. if that lighted side is acting the same way the ballast is likely not at fault.

also could use the diode orientation as well in the drawing. which side of what wire has the diode band on it?

I talked to another HID company and they said to go to a 6amp diode instead of a 3

you may need to use a slightly higher one with the voltage drop you are getting. but if that fails you are gonna need to rethink your electrical situation here. for the power that supply hot voltage to relays, where is the main line on relays tapped into ?

If you are talking about the hot wire to the relays it is on the post under the fuse box cover. I am 98% sure that that post is directly connected to the battery

More info!!!! I can flip back and forth as quick as i want to within the first minute or so of the headlights being on without problems????

Ok so i wrapped a 6amp diode around the wires of the 3amp and i left my highs on for about 5 minutes then flipped back to low and ta da it worked but after about 30 flips i lost a low beam. Normal???

I drew the diagram wrong. My diode is in the relay harness right before it goes into the relay for the "trip" wire
