2023 Tahoe Z-71 With 6.2

Placed my order for a 2023 Z-71 with 6.2 on 6-12-23. The order hasn’t been accepted yet and that’s understandable. Curious if anyone knows if there are currently any constraints or if you recently ordered and received a 6.2 build, how

I ordered the 5.3L in mid-February. It took several weeks before the order was accepted. It was delivered on May 31st, without the max trailering package because it could have taken another month or longer to get it. I don't know if there is a difference in delivery time.

I love mine. I don't love that it doesn't come with a neutral release. My battery died and I can't get it out of the garage. Charging my jump box as I type this.

I can’t answer your question, but I admit I’m not sure it’s a better option then the 5.3. The new transmission makes the 5.3 work quite well. MAke sure your fuel budget is not a concern if you go 6.2. I’m averaging 13 MPG. Got 17 average on a Vermont trip recently.

I was fortunate to find a 23’ Tahoe Z-71 loaded with the 6.2 last month in Houston, TX. I had placed an order for a 6.2 Tahoe in June but there were zero 6.2’s being allocated to my dealership in Grapevine, TX after a 2.5 wait time. That said, I owned a 21 Tahoe with the 5.3 and I would recommend waiting for the 6.2. That motor was designed for the Tahoe and the HP increase makes a huge difference IMO.

I was lucky 2 monthes ago to find a 23 z71 6.2L that someone backed out of and we drove 2 hours to buy it. It was delivered on a Friday night and we bought it Saturday morning.

Wife gets 18-19 mpg but on the freeway we get 23-24 mpg.
