I am a new owner of a 2018
Yukon Denali, which has a two speed transfer case and a electronic knob on the dash to change the ranges. when I go into the ranges it looks like everything works normally and when I have the four-wheel-drive drivetrain showing on the instrument cluster, it shows that it goes into four-wheel-drive by lighting up the front axle And it feels like it’s going into the modes however, I do not have a light on my dash to tell me that it’s in four-wheel-drive. The owners manual indicates there should be a light. I do notice a light on the range. Selector knob is my 2018 supposed to have a light on the dash? Thank you

You might toggle through your dash menu to see if the option to display that is off. In some rigs the light showing both axles lit up is the indicator.

I don't know about a light but it should tell you "shift in progress" on the cluster screen, when switching modes. Presuming the engine is running and you are in park.
maybe the denali is different, in the manual I am sure it doesn't say "should be a light".

The page you posted is what I found it shows a picture of the dash light and it reads it will come on when in 4x4 and the front axle engages. I do not see that light on my dash does anyone else see that light? Maybe some have a manual shifted transfer case? Mine has a knob

I don't remember seeing a light on my 2017 other then the one on the knob. Which I'm OK with because the older ones that's the only indication you had so that's what I'm used to looking for.
It does tell you when it's transferring to 4x4 and presumably if there's a problem.
