Norcal SS has a few threads on the AFE, however they were just his individual results... not a true side by side comparison.

We have not seen any unbiased side by side results from anyone on these new vehicles.

If time allows, I would like to see these CAI systems put head to head on a stock Denali, so we can see a baseline of what gains are possible, if any. After those have been completed, I'd also be curious to know what those same CAI systems are able to accomplish with the assistance of a Black Bear Autocal tuner.....

I just looked my '17 6.2 sierra intake tube over.......
I do not see where an aftermarket tube is going to do anything but make more noise.
Not at all like my '11 Denali which was quite restricted.

Have a pic? I'd like to see how it compares to '15 and '16 intakes.


For everyone's information, I just installed an AirAid Jr. on my '16 Denali yesterday. AirAid has not "tested" with the '16 yet and won't except returns but it fits just fine. I can also say for me there is no noticeable sound difference unless I'm at about 3/4 throttle or better and then I get what I would say is a nice growl. The AirAid tube without a doubt is more efficient at getting air from the filter to the throttle body. I have no doubt there is some performance increase over stock, most of which probably won't be realized without a tune.

Getting rid of this stock monstrosity (first image below) and replacing it with the simple AirAid intake tube (second image below) I think is the way to go ...hopefully soon Black Bear will have the actual numbers.

My airaid tube is also very close
i installed the mit and it fits fine.

I may collect enough fittings to connect the valve covers and use it.

if you look at the bottom of the stock air intake it actually has a nice smooth path.
it just looks cumbersome.

do you have a picture of the breather hardware included in the Airaid tube?

I'm not sure why there is a new part number for '14 up trucks......lol.
The NNBS tube fits just fine, just need to do crank ventilation plumbing different.
