2008 Yukon Denali Quickie Build

Recently purchased an '08 Yukon for a nice family tow & mild offroad vehicle. Hoping to have everything completed by the end of this year for a few upcoming camping trips. Along with replacing the front suspension, it was in need of some maintenance work.

So far I have replaced:
Front and rear brake rotors & pads
Front P/S cooler
Transmission cooler lines
Transmission service
Oil pan gasket & added splash guard in pan
Updated valve cover
Both upstream o2 sensors
L & R Front diff brackets
Service both front and rear diffs & T-case
Engine service
Plug wires
Both front hubs replaced

Plans for the front and rear suspension are pretty set. I might end up making a few changes along the way but so far this is where I am at. Keeping the rear stock and just replaced the factory air shocks with OEM. Replaced rear coils with HD Moog's. I also plan to add some 2.0 2" bump stops. I want to keep its towing capabilities the best I can.

Front as follows:
Mazzulla long travel kit
Added shock tower
King replacement coilover
King 2.5 2 tube bypass
Heimed front tie rods
Reinforced LCA mounts

Wowza! Looks good. Makes my 2008 Denali that I bought as an off road beater look like a REAL beater. It will be cool to see how it progresses. What kind of family off road trips are you planning on doing?

We are hoping to make it to ocotillo at the end of the month. Just depends on the progress. Hoping to get the front fenders figured out next week, that is one of the last big hurdles. Made a little more progress. Got everything tightened up, res’ mounted. Started cutting the original front bumper before i figure the fenders out and a simple tube bumper and skid plate

Been making some progress on the front fenders. Have a few more things to finish up on the fiberglass and should have them back on the car for fitment. Will end up being 2 layers of cloth and a pretty thick single layer of mat on the inside to bond everything together

Front valance was pulled an inch and a half. Rear was pulled inch and a quarter. 4 inch flare with a 3-1/2 inch rise

Thank you guys. Have been behind a little as my son got sick and had to play nurse for a few days. I have the fenders all sanded out and ready for primer, some finish sanding, and then paint. Weather is terrible right now so going to have to give it a couple days before i can lay anything.
