Mine has decided to PS delete itself (belt fly off) at triple digits before, it's not fun

I've had mine fly off at double digits multiple times, which wasn't fun. I couldn't image triple digits!

To my defense I had been painting and around fumes for a looooong time...

New dipstick and "alternator" installed. I had to mod the dipstick a bit. It also is close to the headers so I'll have to watch and see if driving vibrations make it touch.

It's neat in that it holds in place like an air tool connection.

Not a ton of room but we'll see.

Look closely. That's where the dipstick was moved to.

Starter signal nut had 1/2 the threads as the old one and stripped. I used the old nut and everything seems to be holding.

Overnight the dipstick moved closer to the header.

I used a coat hanger wire and wrapped it end to end.

Then I added heat shielding tape.

Done. With the wire brace I was able to bend it away from the runners.

Pickup tube in. I had to use scotch brite to get old gasket off.

Ok I nearly shit myself. I was torquing bolts and heard a *crack*, then metal fell on my face. I thought I had destroyed the pan or something else expensive.

They made the motherboard I installed today, surely they could handle a socket.

My other stuff is a mix of craftsman and.. oh wait, craftsman made in China too. Ah well.

I'm sure they're OK with computers, but manly stuff like sockets? Ehhh, something you're gonna put some muscle to--I'm not so sure. At least crappy Craftsman hand tools have a lifetime warranty against breakage. And I also have Craftsman hand tools lol.

Its my old raid 6 setup and wattage is ok for that power supply. I needed a machine to work from home. I just finished moving our company all to AWS and setup VPN access so earned. That machine used to be a i5 2400 from 10 years ago so thought I could use an upgrade (i5 9400).

BTW I did CU Boulder as an undergrad, and worked at Sun Microsystems before Oracle ****** it all up. Parents are in Denver too.
