I have a short in my audio system draining my battery I removed both amp and radio fuses from under the hood. This stopped the killing of my battery. I removed the stock radio and having it checked out now.

Does my model of Tahoe (Ls) have a separate stock amp? or is it just the stock radio pushing the stock speakers.
and if it Does Were is it located.

I have researched the forum and it seems only LTZ or boss equipped audio systems have the separate stock amp. I dont have a middle console as Ive read that's were it is. I have a straight seat in the front for 3 people. thanks for the help.

Have the exact same issue with a 2008 Yukon Denali with Bose Amp. Pulling the same two fuses stops the current draw of over 4Amps. Just curious if the radio was the issue ?

The OP hasn't been on since Dec 2020.

What happens to the draw if you pull the two fuses one at a time?

Biggest drop is realized when the radio fuse is pulled. Additional current drop is achieved when the amp fuse is pulled. Since removing these 2 fuses I have normal current draw of approximately 15 -20 ma when at rest. Thinking RAP software issue or possible short in the radio.
