2004 Yukon Instrument cluster

Been lurking on here for awhile and finally registered. My Instrument cluster gauges are going. Temp gauge stopped working, speedometer doesn't work correctly.
Im in New Jersey, do you guys know anyone on the east Coast that rebuilds the them. I read all the threads about the stepper motors, etc. I'm not confident in my soldering skills and would rather pay to get it done.

Not on the east coast, but I used this guy and shipped my cluster to him. He's in Vegas area, I'm in Florida. It's super easy to remove, I got it back good as new. Very reasonable price and the turnaround was fast. It was out of the truck for one week total, and one day was a federal holiday. Also had him upgrade the lightin to LED for a few bucks. The white does look quite blue, if you opt for this know that in advance.

A bunch of us here have used digital dash solutions. He`s in connecticut and does great work and can either fix your cluster or you can buy one that is already rebuilt and then you send yours back for the core. http://stores.ebay.com/SPEEDOMETER-SALES-AND-SERVICE

He can also customize it with your choice of different colored needles and overlay. I think he has a two day turnaround.

do you tow? if you do, it might be worrth exchanging it for the model with the trans temp guage, everything i've read says it'll "just work" without any modification. just a thought.

Get an Escalade cluster from Digital Dash Solutions. Looks much better. Did that route for 3 of my families vehicles. They are mainly universal. Pick the style you want. My oil psi stepper went out. Just waiting for a few more to fail to give me an excuse. If I remember correctly they send you a cluster and you send them back your core. Don't remember cost.

Thanks! ... tach, speedometer & gas gauge has spazzed out on my 2003 Tahoe! .. Will be giving them a call to confirm before sending.

Ididn't want to start a new thread so hopefully someone can help me out

I am installing a new head unit in my 03 tahoe and I decided to pull the cluster out

The bulbs on the cluster are burned out so I figured I could open it up and replace them

Well I took it apart and I pulled the needles off and noticed the bulbs havevto be desoldered so I put it all back together

I didnt realize pulling the needles off everything would be off sync.
the only think that seems to gauge properly is the speedo

Oil pressure, volts, rpms temp is all screwed up because of my dumbass

Is there a way to fix this myself?
should I pop them off and put them back on hoping I get close to where they should be?

Another option

The Gauge Pro (on eBay seller RIDER193) will completely rebuild your cluster, all new stepper motors and your choice of color LED lighting or stock lighting, does excellent work super fast turn around. He does it for $120 that includes return shipping. He's on break till Apr 21 but he does perfect work. Better than new

If you want to do it yourself its not that hard, but it can be a pain, you need new stepper motors and you need to re-solder your LCD contacts and you'll be back in business - plenty of videos on youtube on the subject

www.drspeedometer.com.. He is in MO, turnaround is a couple of days. He just did my cluster on my '04 Tahoe. I paid an additional $45 to upgrade to BLUE LED lights. Looks great.. VERY happy with the work done.. I believe the total was just under $300 including the upgrade. He pays for shipping both ways and has repaired thousands of units
