09 Denali-What is this connector?

hey guys. under the truck today. 09 yukon denali awd. i see this connector hanging down outside of frame passenger side. wires come from drivers side along mid cross member right in front of gas tank. anyone know what it is? tia

Is there a harness like that just on the drivers side or on both sides?

Does your vehicle have running boards?

If on both sides, my first guess would be for power running boards but I’ve never looked at the connector on mine. Do you have RPO code BRS listed on your RPO sticker in your glove box?

ill look. I dont recall seeing one. but its the wifes vehicle, so i only drive it on weekends once in a while.

There will be 4 or 5 buttons on yours since it had power running boards, the rightmost switch. If you have 5 the 4th will be for the heated washer fluid.

isnt the whole heated washer fluid a recall to disable it due to fire?

Yep. Some still use the original without issue. Many have installed an improved heater that isn't as hot to maintain the option. Look around the forum for a link if you're interested in it. I think it's pretty cool and wish mine had it, lots of juicy bugs down here.
