Finally got the first noticeable step finished up. I do have the wires for the front monitors ran and the headrests installed but nothing going to them yet. I'll start attacking the headrests on the captains chairs this week but this HU install was a bear for me!! I have to give a HUGE thanks to NathanJax for his patience and willingness to deal with my questions as I tackled this. He's been an invaluable resource. I also want to thank Yates for his help with questions and advice as well. He said he would come down next weekend or I could have come up to him or help but I wanted to get this knocked out as my patience is runnin thin now :)

Anyway, here's a quick pic of the pioneer. I need to do a little bit of minor tweaking still but you get the idea. I'm very happy with the outcome.

Looks great Jacob.

Why was this so hard, was there cutting involved, or just the mess of wires?

It's only hard cuz I've never done it before so I'm very new to this aspect. Overall, the wiring aspect is easy as its mainly matching up colors to wire in the OnStar kit and the steering wheel kit. The part that gave me the most trouble was the relay set up to work as a bypass so that I can watch vids while driving. I eventually had to go with a switch setup but I fought that bypass issue for three days solid. It's also a bit of work getting the radio in with all of the extra wires that are now present. If I was to do it again I'd extend all the wires off the harness so that they wee longer and I could wire te kits in at a separate spot than right where the radio sits in its cubby hole.

Well lookie here!!!! :rocking: I used the hanger idea that a few of you gave me and it worked great! Got the rear monitors in. Now all I have to do is run the wire from the rear montors in the captains up to the front and hook it up! :party33: I'm totally stoked if you can't tell  I'm still waiting for some RCA adapters that are to be here mid next week but I'm going to at least get all the wires to that connection point so it's easy to just hook it up.

Well be prepared. That second row is a pain in the neck but when you get ready to do the install let me know and I can give you some pointers to hopefully make it easier on you.
