07 Yukon/Centre console audio controls

My centre console audio controls and display get very hot to touch
I noticed today while leaning on the console that the display lights went out with some weight on the console lid

Has anyone had any wiring issues or done any modifications to that control area

I had an annoying alternator whine in the rear speakers from time to time that I could smack the rear audio control and it would stop.

I pulled the rear audio control and cleaned/tightened the ground wire pins/connections and the problem went away.
