I'm not sure what the factory drop of these police editions is. If I buy a kit that has 2" spindles and 4" coils will that give me a total of 4" front and 4" back? I'm putting 22 inch steel transport wheels on it.

Thanks in advance. I'm new at this.

PPV Tahoes are only lowered 2" in rear alone. Front is factory height. They look lower in front than other Tahoes because they have a lower profile tire on 17's.

If you go with a 4" drop in the back, you'll HAVE to do the 'free range mod'. A 2/3 drop on a PPV gets it pretty low, and almost touching the rear replacement bump stops when the truck is at rest, unloaded. Depending on the particular truck, you may need to trim the rear bump stops to keep it from hitting them all the time.

PPVs have a 2" drop all around.

Tony,
Why the 3" drop spindles over the 2"?

They do not. I have one in my driveway and have measured. Both fenders front and back sit 35 1/2" from the ground with my 22s on it. They are lowered in the rear only making them level.

I also have one in my driveway.

You measured your with 22s? What size tires do you have on your 22s?

I have slightly larger tires and mine measured lower in the front than the back. Mine was also lower in the back than yours, with the slightly taller tire.

Why would they only lower the rear? They offer a lowered stiffer suspension for pursuit purposes. That is why it is called a PPV (police pursuit vehicle).

At there debut, Pedders use to deal with all law enforcement SUV giving them a 2" drop all around.
