Got a 6.0 I think it's a lq4. Was going to change out. What all do I need to do or look for. Will it just bolt right in and what about Pam,do I need to get the 6.0 pm or will mine work. Thanks

Bolt it directly in and fire it up. You will need a tune for it to run properly tho.
So dont do out beating on it or you will hurt it.


What uear os the 6.0

I understand that early 6.0s (2000-2002) had iron heads and a different crank that protruded more from the back. Stay way from them or get the tranny that came attached. The 2005-2006 6.0s got some minor internal improvements. If your's is a flex fuel 5.3, then reuse your complete intake assembly (manifold, injectors, fuel rail, t-body). You will immediately want to get a computer tune. Your trans may not hold up to the increased torque of the 6.0.

Not true, I have a 2002 6.0 lq4 and it came with aluminum 317 heads and the shorter crank. ieverything else you said good to go..ez to spot the bright aluminum heads though..

Apparently the longer 6.0 cranks were from 1999-2000.
