I'm no expert but I dfidnt think any of the nbs Tahoes or yukons came with air ride and that's what the op is looking at. From what I thought only the denali' came with air ride?

They did and the OP's original post says:

My bet is that if the shocks are original, they're worn out and the air bladders for the auto-leveling system are leaking. Unless the auto-leveling is needed, I'd replace with quality gas-charged shocks and press on, enjoying my $4,000 Yukon.

As far as everything else, a (presumably) cherry '04 SLT with 150K miles at that price leaves enough wiggle room if it needs some reconditioning.
