03 denali console, cd changer delete

I have this console in my 03 Denali, tonight I removed the cd changer (the 6 disk) and left the hole open... I was wondering if there was some made without the cd changer, and is there just a cubby hole box to fit in the hole?
Has anyone installed something better than simply leaving it open?

Found the best and sturdiest way is also the easiest way and that was to gut my 6-disc and slide the pocket onto the original frame

I bought this, slow boat from China, but it os the right size... I may do as 1992rs suggested and munt it using the hollowed out old cd player... I will take pics when I install it.

I screwed the brackets off the CD changer onto the sides of a single din pocket and slid it in place of the changer. Just have to measure careful. Looks like @1992rs did the same? Edit: he did his different.

OK, the drawer I ordered finally arrived, so I did as 1992rs suggested, gutted the old cd changer box, and this drawer fit like it was made for it... popped it all back together and am real happy with the result.

I also added a USB charge port instead of the cigarette lighter...

It looks so crappy because I started scratching off the grey paint to just leave the shiney black, but damn it is a LOT of effort to scrape off... not sure how to do it 'easy'.

I used non chlorinated brake cleaner on a rag then painted

I used denatured alcohol and scotchbrite pads. Easy.
