So it was those damn plugs eh.

crazy, yea. they were new as well. which is why I didn't suspect them, until plugging in the scanner.

pretty expensive tool, meant for shops but if a person can get one... man it's a lifesaver.

eBay does have some search "Ethos Pro" - watch the software version though and make sure it goes up enough in year for your needs. The upgrade is pretty pricey if you need to update the software.
