Last time I checked I was going to pay about $2500 for fronts and rears (king shocks), a little too much for me. But if I hit the power ball I might go for it, lol.
I would recommend it. I can't give you real numbers other than I can feel the difference when I press the gas. I am having to relearn my gas peddle because I find myself going faster than I should cause it much quicker and it's feels much lighter. I know it doesn't make sense but I've been...
$1300 out the door. I went to a shop that has done many of these swaps, I didn't want to risk it with a tech at the dealership who is learning with my car. Do your homework before committing.

I went through desert rat , it's an off road shop, they worked out the details. Paid about $1300, and it took them about 6/7 hours. Still no complaints, should have done this earlier.
I had the oil pressure sensor replaced and I also replaced the oil level sensor. Oil pressure sensor is working as expected but the oil level sensor is still not working. I still have the message. I've been lazy and just ignore it. Anyone else have better luck than me with it?
Thank You!

Everthing I have read states otherwise (going up not down), beside I'm not looking to get 25 mpg...
I went ahead and pulled the trigger and had the Tahoe regeared to 4.56's from the stock 3.73. The process took about 6-7 hours but it seemed like forever just being away from my Hoe. I have driven it less than 100 miles but I noticed the difference as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot. As...
I opted for 18's instead of 20's becuase I was strapped for cash, just kidding. I went with 18's becuase I wanted to make sure my sidewall would flex when I lowered the air pressure for the purpose of driving in sand or at the beach. I felt 20's (the tires) would have a toughter sidewall and...
Update: I ended getting my engine tuned so that corrected that problem. However, before the tune I noticed the rough idling went away after a couple of days on it own.
Long story short, my oil pressure switch went out (which caused my guage to stop reading the oil pressure), and got it replace so that fixed that problem. I also replaced the oil level sensor but it still read "low oil". I had a feeling that the wire may be chaffed or pinched but that was not...
Early this summer I had my tahoe's oil changed at Jiffy Lube (1st time at JL) then I went home and parked it. The following morning I started the tahoe and it had a message that my oil level was low and needed to be filled. Of course, I was pissed and drove back to JL and chewed out the dude...
What I meant by messing is that I removed the MAF and the TB and sprayed them down with a cleaning spray. After drying, I reinstalled them. However it still had the same problem with the high RPMS. I disconnected the battery pumped the brakes and gas pedal a few times, reconnnect the battery...
Ok, not sure if the problem is solved but this is where I am at.
I disconnected the battery and pumped the brakes about a few times, then I did the same with the gas pedal. I reconnected the battery and started it. Initially, the RPM's went up to about 2000-2500 then they dropped to 1500 and...
