    Tag Lights - SOLVED

    2005 Yukon XL Dealer wanted $95 to replace 2 burnt out bulbs !!! Went to Advance Auto for $8 and 30 seconds to plug them in ! New bulbs but they don't light up even with the headlights on. All other lights work ?!?!? Some fuse??? Something else???

    2005 Yukon XL Found this laying on top of the battery ???? No clue where it came from !!!! The stamped numbers come up nowhere. 15111339/15045455/151265204/CAV.2 It also has "Carlisle Eng. Prod." stamped on it ?!?!? Did a mechanic lay it there from another car?!?

    Excessive DownShifting

    2005 Yukon XL 170K miles Recently noticed on the slighted grade, it would down shift. On a flat highway, pressing the pedal at all, like to pass, it would down shift ?!? Would a tranny service help ? Is it from a lack of power? Is it just old age?

    Intermittent Start - SOLVED

    Turn the key on. Dash lights come on. Turn to Start = nothing (no crank)! Try 5 or 6 times and maybe it'll start. Runs fine after that...but it's a crapshoot if it'll start again. May go weeks before this happens again. Replaced: battery, Engine Control Module (programmed by Dealer), Starter Relay.

    2005 XL. Always had it and was curious what & why. Only on cold startup and goes away after you drive it. Mentioned it when I picked it up from Dealer for something else and they say "normal". Just wondered after all these years what it is.

    Had the ol' hot on the left/cold on the right. Replaced the difficult behind-the-dash actuator = fixed. Now...dial in 60 or 88 = the same output at the vents!?!?!?!? When I dial up to the 90 degree setting it trips over. Nothing in-between?!?!?

    I pressed that button in under the headlamp switch that's supposed to disable the interior lights when you open the door. It doesn't ?!?!?! They still come on when you open the door.

    Oil Pressure Gauge Readings

    Mine had always stayed at 40lbs or a tad above. This weekend it all-of-a-sudden pegged at 80lbs on startup and stayed there! Diagnosed as a bad sending unit...replaced it.
