2011 5.3 engine noise, lend me your ears

New information, or rather information I already had, but didn't think it was important. You be the judge.
I did have an old code that I didn't really think about, because the problem just started recently, so I assumed that it was because of a recent code.
The code in question: P0121

Connection so intermittent that it's oscillating the throttle blade?

You do have some exposed wires, might be worth covering them..

Yeah, I'm not trying to be cryptic, but genuinely want to see if others offer a possible fix.
Not a wiring problem. That's not exactly true since I have a driver's side headlight that keeps going out, a passenger seat heating element not working, very intermittent cruise control, and the air pump or whatever it's called on the driver's rear shock makes too damn much noise when it runs. Oh, and passenger mirror doesn't retract right and the wiring on the driver's side rear defrost has disconnected. Other than those things I have no (known) electrical issues!
Edit: just remembered another. I can't get my windshield washer to spray. List may get longer as things come to mind.
More hints: I did not have to replace anything, but I did have to remove something (then put it right back on).
I cleared the codes yesterday, been driving it around town to church and errands, but haven't opened it up on the highway yet. Seems to be running like a top and not throwing codes.

With the information provided I could only guess that it had something to do with the oil pressure sensor or the throttle body, you haven't given us a lot of information to work but I am trusting you gave us ENOUGH info to work with

Was the mass air flow or air intake ducting not seated properly on the throttle body?

Just following the rules to riddle engagement!
I'll go ahead and say just so that posterity can at least look into this before they start removing intake manifolds and headers and dropping transmissions and such.
The throttle body was gunked up. I got in with some 99% isopropyl alcohol and some paper towels. I know it's not the best equipment, but it's what I had immediately at hand so I went with it. I cleaned it out as well as I could without removing more than the intake tube.
I'm not saying this is the first thing a person should do if the engine is running rough, but it might need to be near the top before you get too involved in replacing random parts. Now keep in mind I'm just a regular dude without access to a ton of diagnostic equipment. I did run the codes and cleared them just using a very inexpensive harbor freight OBD2 reader.
May the rest of my maintenance and fixing journey be as productive and simple.
Also, 191k on the odo, and still running stock.

Maybe, it seemed to have been fitted properly but it surely was nasty in there.

I don't know how to explain it other than the rough idle and sound was caused by a gunky tb. I've dealt with this in previous vehicles, but yeah this thing sounded like something was about to fall off. Ever since I cleaned out the throttle body it runs very smoothly. I hope it's not just a coincidence.
