Since I'm relpacing the malfunctioning Bose head unit in my 06 Escalade, I will also be removing the 6cd changer. I plan to convert the opening where the cd player is now mounted into a phone charging cubby hole. So I'm looking for a charging pad that will fit the 7" wide opening and can charge two phones at once. Has anyone done this? Any suggestons where I might find a 2 phone charger pad that will fit?

It is a bit pricey but it is exactly what you are looking for.
Decided to go with two JDAJ 15W Qi-certified fast charging pads. The builder is converting 6CD changer space into a dash pocket with two USB ports. Two of these chargers will fit side-by-side in the space. Here is a video showing the CD-to-dash-pocket conversion. Interior dimensions of the pocket are 7"w x 7.5"d x 2"h. Dimensions of the charging pad are 6.22" x 3.23" x 0.2".

That pad only fits in Tahoes and non-Denali Yukons. Escalades and Denalis do not have the cutout on top of the center console armrest where this would fit in. Not sure if it's as easy as simply swapping over the doors, but I like my leather/pleather wrapped armrest.
