My transmission stopped shifting into 3rd so I took it in for a rebuild. Got it out of the shop yesterday and drove it to the mountains last night. It shifted kinda firm (which I like) and it turns out the shop owner puts Corvette servos in all his 4L60 rebuilds. That on top of a military discount and I'm a happy fella. Truck runs better than ever.

I use to wheel Cherokees. I'll always love jeeps. Good luck man. Looks pretty.

Nice.....I liked them as well. Needed to compromise as I have a smaller garage so a crew cab full size wont fit. Hate to say it but the fit/finish on these newer ones is amazing!

Thanks alot :Handshake:

Definitely didn't see that one coming! Do you mind Sharing the dealer so I can see it for sale when they list it?

Me either lol. It was Russ Darrow but don't bother looking because my sales guy called me last night and said there was a guy who wanted to buy it....hasn't even been safety inspected yet. I told the salesman it wouldn't be there long. Guess I was right....

Big week for the ole '00 suburban.

Fixed rear main seal, complete front steering rebuild (inner tie rods where shot, rest were well worn), finally installed my color matched hatch handle, fresh Aimsoil oil and trans fluid, and updated tune for the wheel/tire combo.

Just in time for our family road trip where the ole girl is pulling off an 18.6mpg average so far after 900 miles cruising 72-78mph. Same drive last year I was averaging just under 17mpg.

I just did about 250 in one drive (from just outside Syracuse to Boston) last weekend, I only averaged 14... and my normal avg is only about 13.2, stop and go, city driving.

My normal city is 13-14, but I just sit at a lot of lights. Really happy with this trip though. I've only broken 18mpg twice before, both on 60mph back road highways and not back to back fillups. The truck has longtube headers, custom exhaust, tune, 241 heads, and taller tires now too (285/45/22). It's also lowered so it's setup for highway cruising with the family.

The lower ball joints press in. I had a hell of a time getting them to press straight. They were slightly bigger than the OEM ones.
Damn that sucks. I had the same issue when I did the ball joints on my wife's escape. What brand did you use?
