I was impressed with the first short trip I made with mine.

Wow! That is great MPG. I saw 24 mpg in mine on our first 200 mile trip across the SoCal desert, some grades, but it was during the breaking period, so I kept the speed down. Since then, we average 18.5mpg with a load of about 800 lbs. City seems to average about 15mpg. Towing is about 10-12 with a 7,500 lb load.

I'm sure the extra torque of the 6.2 in your Denali helps your mpg more than the EPA estimate gives credit, when you're not romping the throttle.

Nope is exactly the same we do twice to Florida full load 7 people plus gear and run perfect and GPM was 17.9 average including all "idle" on the stops.
